I have been thinking about starting a blog for a long time. The question that always stumped me was what would I blog about? After watching the news today and posting on Facebook, I thought what the heck, I am jumping in!

My regular routine in the morning is to watch/listen to the news while I get ready for work.  Today I was seriously taken aback by something I heard.  It is nothing new to wake up right now and hear something about the presidential candidates, the campaigns, debates, and primaries. What I heard today from Hillary Clinton’s campaign was very disturbing! The story started with a question about Hillary losing the female voters that she was counting on as her voter base. The next thing I see is Madeleine Albright saying that there is a special place in hell for women who don’t support other women.  Was she really saying that women who don’t vote for Hillary are going to a special place in hell?! That wasn’t bad enough! The next storyline is Gloria Steinem saying that the only reason so many young women are voting for Bernie Sanders is because they are looking for boys, and the boys are with Bernie. WHAT?!  So let me get this straight…if you are a woman and you are not voting for Hillary, first, you are going to a “special place in hell”, and second, you aren’t smart enough to be making your own decision, you are just doing it to pick up guys.

It is discouraging that statements such as these came from what I would consider strong intelligent women! I am an educated woman who has a lot of opinions and I am insulted by these statements!  I am not voting for Hillary. I do not trust her and I certainly don’t trust her with my future much less the future of my country! I do believe that one day there will be a woman president and I look forward to that day. However, it is just my opinion, that Hillary is not that candidate!

So, my advice to everyone – vote your conscience!  Do the research on all the candidates and vote for the one you think will be the best of our country!  Do not let anyone bully you into voting for someone for all the wrong reasons!
